Day 331: Postcards from the City.

Taking a mini break from the fam, Séb and I ventured into the city to spend some time together, eat and of course, drink. We did Paris in the springtime, now it's New York's turn.

Here are some of my favorite spots in this city where...

...Séb and I stopped in for an afternoon glass of bubbly.
Le Singe Vert
Chelsea

Nolita
...I used to come here for a White Lillet with my book
on a Sunday afternoon.

Joe's Dairy
Sullivan Street
...to get the freshest and softest "mozz" in the city.
No chewing required!

Crosby Street
...I used to agonize over conjugations with my French tutor after work.
I was sad to see that it's now closed.

Have you guys ever seen the movie "Addicted to Love" where the token French guy works here: "French Restaurant"
I thought the sign was made just for the movie.
You can imagine my delight when I saw that in fact, it was not.
It's real.

Broome Street

Prince Street

I love Gitane. Have you been to their spot in the Jane Hotel?? It gets great afternoon light from the Hudson. Le sigh. I miss NY. But Paris misses you! come back soon!

    1. Yes! I love the Jane Hotel! I'm a sucker for kitchy design, a good cocktail and a chic neighborhood. I'm such a white girl.

I'll be back soon in Paris soon. : )

  2. I'm glad that Seb and you had a chance to spend some time together in NY. Spring, by the way, has deserted Paris. It's cold and grey.

The funky colors on Broome St. and Prince St. look great in the photos. I like that the streetlight is red in the last photo. Did you wait for it to turn before you snapped the pic?

    1. Yeah, we read that Paris is up to its old ways and it's chilly and grey. Do you remember last summer? It was cold and rainy for most of it. I was still wearing sweaters in July. I hope that doesn't repeat this year.

The street light was an accident. I was almost going to crop it out until I realized that it plays on the photo's rosy theme. I'm glad you like it. : )
