Day 318: Spring is...

Paris in the springtime...so this is what the fuss is about! It's been absolutely gorgeous here and I'm not taking one second of it for granted.

To me, spring is...

...looking for street art.
Rue Chemin Vert

...blossoming trees and petals.
Saint Germain-des-Prés

 ...tulips and outdoor seating.
Courtyard au Musée de la Vie Romantique

...having a "few".
Le Marais

...butterflies in the park.
I was afraid that this woman was going to turn around and
think I was taking a picture of her ass.
That didn't happen.
Phew.
Parc des Buttes Chaumont

...hanging out on the street.
It's a party everywhere. Raise the roof.

    1. I hear the temperatures are going to drop next week. We're going back to normal! Oh well, it was good while it lasted.
      : ) Bon week-end, Miss Gwan!

  2. I am sooo happy to see sunshine again! This is the second time in my life I've experienced 4 seasons (SD, Monterey and TX have 2 seasons at most) and as long as there's no snow in the winter, I'm a fan =)

    1. I remember missing the 4 season when I was out in L.A too! I used to pretend it was cold in the fall and wear sweaters and drink pumpkin lattes, even if I was dripping sweat in the 80 degree weather.

      I'm glad you're enjoying your 4 seasons!

  3. Love the first pic!

Took me a while to see the butterfly on the woman's heel! It matches her sandals so well!;)

A week from now, I will be waking up with the Duke in a nice apartment in the Marais:) And for now, the weather forecast is pretty decent (no rain until Easter Monday!):) Yihaa!:)

When are you moving back to Belleville again? April?

    1. Thank you!

How pretty is that flower shop? It's what I imagined Paris to be like before I came here and discovered that Monceau Fleurs was much more common than these little shops.

Ah, so you'll be in the Marais! How cool! Let me know if I can give you any suggestions!!

  5. I'm glad you got over your fear of looking like a tourist and are taking lots of pictures. I'm also glad that you didn't get caught taking a picture of that ladies butt. If she had turned around the butterfly would have flown away and you would be left trying to explain in French that you weren't a big pervert.

    1. LOL! Totally! I was so shady when I was taking this photo. The people next to me where looking at me like I was a total perve. I was all "crouching Ella, not so hidden camera".

What's funny is that she had no idea that a butterfly was resting on her ankle. It was a special moment between me and the butterfly.

Okay, that sounded more "new agey" than I had intended.

  6. I'm so excited to see Paris in the springtime. My boyfriend and I will be stopping by for a few days before our big move to the UK. I hope it's still this nice in a month!

    1. Yes! I read on your site, you guys have exactly one month to go! How is everything going? How exciting for you both!

Good luck with the big move and I hope the weather holds out for your visit. But in all honesty, Paris is beautiful all year round, especially for a first visit. : )

    1. Oh geez...don't remind me. If only I'd stop drinking wine, I'd lose like 5 lbs in one week! We all know that's never going to happen...

      Thanks for commenting!

  9. First time commenting (heard about you via Une Femme). LOVE the blog! Great photos. The one of the butterfly resting on the girls ankle is great! What an awesome capture (and phew to no awkward moments and having to explain why you are taking a picture the girls ass)!
