Day 4: Let it Out.

Maybe this love song won't make me feel better, but I can't resist Joyce Jonathan's "Tant Pis"; a sweet acoustic song about looking back on a lost love that I make the masochistic mistake of listening to with a glass of wine and my flickr photo album open. But sometimes what you need is a good cry...

On a different note regarding French Pop Music, according to the 1994 Broadcasting Reform Act, French radio stations must play a minimum of 40% of Francophone music in an effort to protect the language. Fair enough, there's not a high demand for French pop in The States, so I could understand why the citizens would rather listen to music in their own language...or would they? Every time I sing or admit to liking French pop music, I am accused of having bad taste...by my French friends who would rather listen to Rihanna and The Killers. It's as if French music is played as a mere formality in order to abide by the law and is essentially ignored by listeners. It makes me wonder if American pop really is the best and translates universally or do we just impose it on the entire world forcing all to like it? Just a little food for thought for today...

I'm so miserable. I don't know what to write...I wish I could just stop thinking...
